JIB School Invading the Global Market(2nd Annual JIB Skills Showcase)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joji Ilagan-Bian Career Center Foundation, Inc. (JIBCCFI), the leader in creating training programs leading to successful career will launch its Second Annual JIB Skills Showcase on 12 December 2008 at the Entertainment Plaza, SM City Davao.

 

The event will feature the bests of the JIB schools; JIB College of Business and Tourism, JIB e-Academy & Solutions, JIB Welding Academy and Tumble Tots Philippines.

 

JIB College of Business and Tourism will highlight the event with a Culinary Arts showdown by the students. The school boasts its state-of-the-art kitchen facilities that are accredited by the Technical and Further Education, (TAFE), a prestigious standards institution in Australia. They will showcase different methods and techniques for food preparation and presentation that is at par with our foreign counterparts.

 

On the other side, JIB e-Academy & Solutions will hold an on-site Free Basic English Training open to public that will give a glimpse of the importance of the English language. They would also provide career guidance services for individuals who would want to get in the call center industry. This training gives the students will all necessary skills for the industry.

 

The JIB Welding academy will showcase their vast array of equipments used in training for a globally competitive welder. The school recently partnered with Eastwest, a well-renowned manpower pooling company, to provide its graduates an advantage on landing a job in Saudi Arabia.

 

Learning can be fun with Tumble Tots, a British Education franchise designed for optimum development of locomotors and intellectual skills for toddlers. The school boasts its competent teachers and efficient facilities and equipment for educating toddlers. They will grace the event by having one of their Active Play stations on site.

 

Other partnerships of the JIB schools to other companies will also be presented. This is in line with the JIB Chair - Ms. Joji Ilagan-Bian’s, vision that “to be globally competitive, we should not be contented with what’s available… we should be looking for ways for what’s possible.”

 

The event will also present the talents of its students not only in their chosen field but in entertainment too. Song and dance performances will be done to give you the taste of JIB students’ versatility and competence in all ways possible.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mrs. Bian said, “This is an annual JIB event that started last year. This is our way to thank the parents, students and everyone for their strong support and confidence in JIB.  We want to show the public what a JIB Education is”.

 

The event will be open to the public on Dec 12, 2008 from 10:00am to 6:00pm with various demonstrations and learning tracks throughout the day.

 

It will culminate with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between JIBCCFI and the American Hospitality Academy for internships abroad. This will give JIB students an opportunity to be trained by the best and with the best. The main goal partnership is to help HRM graduates in penetrating the global hospitality market.

 

These activities are just few of the things that will be presented during the event. The aim is to present JIB schools’ commitment to provide the best education possible and to make their graduates globally competitive and competent, therefore bringing the world to Mindanao’s reach.
